Amearashi...It's thanks to the RainStorm that I found myself again.
The class seems so much more comfortable lately, a few ppl who didn't really like me seem to have warmed up now...2 of them smiled back when I greeted them, though they looked kind of surprised.
But on the other hand, someone who's a good friend doesn't seem to like me as much as before...she seems rather irritated at me almost all the time...sometimes, i wish that there was someone who understands all my habits...someone who shares most of the same interests...someone whom I can sing Jap songs with! :) Someone i can talk about Johnny's to without having to explain what the whole Johnny's thing is about. And who's interested. I've always been singing in class, especially when I'm in high spirits. But ppl don't always like it. I hate being shut up. But I just have to or I'll be irritating them even further. But when I just want to sing.......................................................
Not everybody can understand that, right? Whe you want to do what you want, but have to stop/refrain frm it just because other ppl don't like it. Especially when what you're doing is harmless. Like singing. or telling jokes. Or chatting.
I guess a loner will always be a loner huh? But why is it that when I wish there was someone to talk to, or if I want company, there's no one, and when I want to be left alone, she insists on chatting with me? I guess she probably feels the same too, which is why she seems to want to hang out more with someone else now. But when she does that, I feel left out and discarded.
I wish December and Lim Xian and Alisia were in the same school as me...but will our friendship have lasted?
Sho...
Ok, I admit I have a huge crush on him. Don't laugh, but in my fantasies, I was
the one for him... pretty far fetched right? But hey, it was a fantasy, though I wish it could come true...but lately, it's as if I've woken up from a dream...I don't know him in person, who he is in public could be vastly different from his private self...(watching 'Mukodono' gave me the idea). And besides, he doesn't even know who I am. In my dreams, we end up together. In my dreams, we were made for each other...
But I have to wake up...
It won't be me
Unless fate just meant it to be...
No one can tell
But the one you fall for won't be me
The one you marry won't be me
The truth hurts, the more i think of it
But I can't escape, it's a fact.
In my dreams, and only in my dreams
We were together...
You knew me
But do you really? Even if you did...
I'm still just a fan
One in millions, all dreaming the same
It won't be me, I'm too far away
Do i even really know you?
There's so much you have to hide, away from the public eye
Are you what you seem to be?
I don't know, and perhaps I never will
Though I wish i could
Someday, someone will touch your heart
And win it, just like in my dreams
Someone who matters a lot, someone who knows who you really are
But let's face it--it probably won't be me.

Yupz! CHAMPION(!) for 'C' Div!!! And 3rd for 'B' Div (Well, that's an improvement frm last yr's 6th)!
It's a pity though, the 100m backstroke record should have been Lynette's, but Bernadette overtook her at the last 25m or so...:P I was screaming and watching in disbelief--it was just 0.3 seconds...and it meant so much! Both of them broke the record, but it will be Bernadette's name there, not Lynette's...she must have felt so disappointed...but I hope she won't be discouraged! Maybe she was under a lot of pressure, having broken the 'C' girls record in the same event last year...sometimes pressure makes u perform a little worse... But sometimes I wonder, would the same have happened if I'd wished her good luck b4 the race? If we'd cheered a little louder? Who knows? At any rate, what's done is done, our B Div is back in the top 4! But I had no hand in it, I'm afraid..sometimes I wonder what I'm doing in there. I'm a useless swimmer. Yes, I started late but if I'd trained harder I'd be much better thn I am now.
Gwen, I'd love to go to Japan(LOL), but I think I'm probably going there this yr(aft Os) with my family! I daresay i read Jap better than I speak it though, and I definitely need a lot of work to understand it when it's spoken...Maybe I'm feeling overconfident of myself now, but I get kind of angry inside when ppl think that I don't really know japanese that well because i don't take 3rd Lang. Well, it's probably true that the 3rd lang girls know much more than me, but it doesn't mean that I understand any less! My mum thinks i don't really understand what I'm reading--I do, although I still need a dictionary sometimes...and I daresay(brag alert!!) that I know more Jap slang and colloquialisms than the 3rd lang girls...(which teacher will teach her students swear words and such?) Okama. That's slang for 'sissy'...and of course, there are certain crude words i shall not use here.........................................that kind of language, u get from reading manga, magazines and just...reading those slang books they sell.

2 weeks. 2 weeks!! Went down to HMV(yet again) today to check out when 'How's It Going' was arriving. The lady at the counter was really nice, told me that it usually took a longer time for a Jpop CD to arrive. Says who?Ayumi Hamasaki's A Ballads was available in the stores 2 days after the Jap release!!!Anyway, she also told me that they were probably going to bring in only arnd 2 copies or so, so I'd have to reserve it--IT WAS DAMN LUCKY I DID THE LAST TIME I WAS THERE!(sorry for the caps). I just have to go to the Iro-Asenaide forum and let the S'porean fans there know, or they'd be waiting in vain...but it was STILL down so I couldn't do so, or post any translations either :P
Anyway, I got the August issue of Myojo--last copy in Kino Bugis!I spend abt 1/3 of my allowance on foreign mags...no regrets...Wink Up and Duet are staples, and I get Potato sometimes, and Myojo if it has interesting articles. And of course I'd get any mag that has Arashi on the cover!!! I've decided, better start putting exatctly 1/3 of my allowance and loose change aside for those mags, to get them as soon as they come out...it's either that or go down to Liang Court every month. The Sept issue of Myojo is a must! (Arashi on the cover) and this month's Duet(not out yet) and nxt month's Wink Up too> Like Duet, WinkUp underwent a 'makeover' :) It's now the same size as Potato and Duet.
Money will be tight when I save up for CDs............ 3 September........
Must try not to get so much clothing, I really have to work on my willpower. My closet is nearly full and I still don't think it's enough!! There's that Hang Ten long sleeved T and the pink pleat skirt and a cardigan or two...(I think I'll seach ice lemon tee 4 that)...Currently, I seem to have a thing for baby blue and sky blue...u know, pale, pastel blues? The colour of my hp. Pastel pink too...
Stripes and bright colours are in this season in Japan, going by Myojo. Oh, I just envy their clothing over there...let's hope I do get to go to Japan this year! The clothes they feature in mags are expensive but I'm hoping I'll be able to find similar stuff at a much cheaper price at places like Shibuya.
Today's oral...I don't really want to talk about it. Reading was ok but I really hesitated ALOT when it came to conversation, half wishing I had an English-Chinese dictionary in front of me...I couldn't express myself properly, and not only that, it seemed like there wasn't much to talk abt for the topics they gave!! I didn't have very strong opinions on the topics they gave...I was hesitating, stuttering, repeating myself...the 2 invigilators seemed really unsatisfied. :P If I even got 20 marks I'd be really, really happy. Forget abt the 25/30 I got for prelims. I think the teacher was lenient then, but at least she encouraged you! Maybelline said that the 2 male idiots(or, in other words, the invigilators) seemed to laugh at her whenever she read a word wrongly. It's true that we'd have been more comfortable with a female invigilator, but the 2 of them really seemed to look down on us! They can be at least nicer right?
ok...I'm gonna sound haolian here but when I was reading the passage, I heard one of them tell the other," du2 de2 bu cuo4" ("her reading is not bad!") But the conversation part? :P i wish the topic were SARS, the Iraq war, students committing suicide/crimes, the Iranian conjoined twins, even the water agreement btwn S'pore and Johore! At least I have pretty strong opinions and ideas about those topics. Or, stuff like what we got for prelims. "Shouls students have handphones?" etc...BUT...:P:P:P
The school swimming National finals? Congrats Lynette on ur new record!!! Great job done, C Div 50 fly girls..out of 8 lanes, 5 of them were occupied by St Nicks! Michelle, we knew you could do it--nice try! Of course, vanessa who came in 3rd for fly...and the C Div Medley relay team who came in 1st, the B Div team who got 3rd, and the dozens more :):):) I can't wait till tml...It's a pity I couldn't stay the whole day today, much as I wanted to *glowers* (sarcastically) Thanks a LOT, O level orals :P

Arrrgghhh! Why isn't it on sale here yet? Arashi's new album How's It Going!!! It was released last Wednesday and I can't wait any longer!! I'm expecting a call from HMV any time NOW!!! *Gets jumpy* The iro-asenaide forum is down so I can't post any of my translations :P.....no wonder I didn't get any email notifications of any postings to the forum...:(
It's the finals tml!!! Well, day one of the swimming finals at least. Of course I didn't get in...I don't know why, I never seem to do as well during competitions as I do during time trials...my backstroke was 2 seconds off PB time, my freestyle 4 seconds off...:P And that's really bad...
Jaa, but I hope our C Div will be 1st and our b div at least 3rd this yr!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nah, not really Gwen...it was just a matter of uploading files and figuring out exactly where in the template to put the html script...:P Ok, I can't update this blog so often now :P Mum's restricted my internet time! I guess i deserve it, when i go online I don't do my homework, and it's time to buck up...:P
Arashi's new single release--3 September. New album--this coming Wednesday!!!

Somehow, the Johnny's bands(including Jrs) remind me of geisha somehow...and I can tell you perfectly why!
Okay, they're guys and geisha are women...but there are still a huge number of similarities...
Firstly, Jrs and maiko(geishas in training). Both watch their seniors and learn from them, and by tagging along when their seniors perform/performing with them, they learn and gain experience. The Johnny's Jrs usually dance behind their seniors, and sometimes perform on their own. The key word here is dance--舞 mai. It's the same 'mai' in 'maiko'... The geisha call this
minarai--watching and learning.
Then, the word 'debut'. For the Jrs, they 'debut' when they graduate from dancing behind their seniors and begin cutting their own records, etc. Ya-ya-yah, a Jrs subgroup, released a CD but they still dance behind their seniors, so I guess Jrs really debut when 1. They don't have to dance behind their seniors any more 2. They release their own singles and albums 3. Usually, a group that has debuted gets more publicity overseas than a Jr subgroup.
When maiko debut into geisha, they're no longer 'under training' too, just like the Jrs are no longer 'under training'(by performing behind their senpai) when they debut. And in both cases of debuts, it's a pretty big thing.
It's these 2 similarities that make the Johnny's Jrs etc remind me of geisha somehow :P Not to mention both are in the entertainment industry--
Geisha are not prostitutes, they are artists! Just like the singers, dancers and actors you see now!And just like geisha are all female, the Johnny's are all male. And like maiko used to, the Johnny's start learning their 'arts' (of being an idol--like dancing, singing etc) when they are very young. The maiko nowadays start training after high school, at around 16 or 17, but in the past before child labour laws came in, they started much younger, at 12 or 13. Most new Jrs enter Johnny's at around that age, though some are younger and others may be a little older.
And just like Tokyo and the kansai area(which includes Kyoto and Osaka) are home to the most famous geisha quarters, the Jrs are grouped into Kanto Jrs(some say Tokyo Jrs because most of them are frm Tokyo) and Kansai Jrs.
I don't mean to offend any one, I really respect both the Johnny's artistes and geisha, it's just that I can't help noticing these similarities...lol

Your a very warm person who wants to be loved for
who you are. Love means the world to you but
you want it to be right. You have a vision of
perfection when it comes to true love. Just
remember, love is always perfect, but people
never are. You gotta be willing to take the
good with the bad, just as you want people to
except that about you.
What does love mean to you? brought to you by Quizilla

Arrrrrgghhh!!!!!!!!!!!*Feel like ripping my hair out*. Epebble is taking so impossibly long to load!!!!I've been trying to load the I-learn page for the last 1/2 hour!
Note 8.50 a.m.: It finally finished loading :P
I guessed this would happen. Let's take it that there are 40 ppl in 11 classes in 4 levels. 440 times 4 is 1760 ppl. Over 1500 ppl logging in at the same time...Guess what will happen to their servers? :P It's a wonder it isn't down yet, just impossible SLOW! Didn't they think about this before they so 'enthusiastically' told us we were going to have 2 days of elearning on epebble? :P Even my nearly 20mb file took a shorter time to download than the epebble page!
I wanna get the July issues of Winkup, duet, potato....
