  PIKA**NCHI DOUBLE

Minareta machi nami itsumo no nakama ga hanareteku nante tabidatte yuku nante
Sorezore no michi ni sasu hikari no nami wo koeteyuku
Standing in the familiar streets, friends who've always been there are leaving, going away
Looking for ourselves, afraid of loneliness--those super, monotonous days we spent together
Will soon not be seen again, they flicker shakily
Let's go across the waves of light that shine On our respective paths

Owatta hazu no yume ga mada bokura no senaka ni semaru kizamareta omoide ga sawagidasu
Kagirareta ai to jikan wo ryoute ni dakishimeru semete kyou dake wa kienaide
The dreams that should have ended are still coming, touching the fragmented memories
The limited love and time, I hug with my hands, so that they won't disappear for at least just today.

Nayanda riyuu wa wasurete shimatta boku no yuuutsu wo dareka tometekurenai ka
Taking notice of my surroundings and what i see, I walk on, not knowing what's real and what's not
I’ve forgotten the reason I’m troubled, can’t someone stop my gloom?

Hibi wareta puraido wo daiji ni shimaikonde
oogesa ni hanashiteta kokoro no sukima umeteita
I keep carefully away the pride that splits my days
Burying it into the space in my heart I bragged about

Tomatta jikan wa yuugure bokura no mirai wo terasu nido to modorenai yoru no naka de
itsumademo kataritsuzukeru towa to kibou no uta wo tatoe ima dake to wakatte itemo
The time where it stopped was at sunset, shining on our futures, into the night that will never return again
The song of hopes and everlastingness will always be told no matter when
Even if we know of only today.

Madamada ore ga tomaru tokoro ja nai kara
Wakasugita "Kono mama zutto" nante kangae
It's not yet time for me to stop
Was I holding on to those thin, young and fresh thoughts?
Has it been more than 10 years since I learnt "A ka sa ta na"...
I was too young, thinking that things would be “like this, always”

Aiba:Ugoki hajimeta ressha no naka ni itsudemo kimi ga iru kara
Sho:Ano toki ano basho de mata aeru kanaa
Nino:Umiben ni saita hana no you ni takumashiku
Ohno:Zutto kono mama hikari yo bokura no mirai terashite takaku maiagare
In the train that starts to move, you're always there
I wonder if we'll meet at that same place and time...
In the depth of those ever-trusting eyes, am I always there?
Strong and robust, just like the flowers that bloom by the sea
The light will always shine, just like this, on our futures
Soaring high up

Owatta hazu no yume ga mada bokura no senaka ni semaru kizamareta omoide ga sawagidasu
Kagirareta ai to jikan wo ryoute ni dakishimeru semete kyou dake wa kienaide
The dreams that should have ended are still coming, touching the fragmented memories
The limited love and time, I hug with my hands, so that they won't disappear for at least just today.

Tomatta jikan wa yugure bokura no mirai wo terasu nido to modorenai yoru no naka de
itsumademo kataritsuzukeru towa to kibou no uta wo tatoe ima dake to wakatte itemo
The time where it stopped was at sunset, shining on our futures, into the night that will never return again
The song of hopes and everlastingness will always be told no matter when
Even if we know of only today.

Ugokitsuzuketa choushin to tanshin wa
Furikaette miru to iya ni tankikan
A ka Sa Ta Na naratta goro kara ima
Orera wakasugita tada wakasugita
The long hand and short hand kept moving
Looking back, it was a terribly short time
From the time we learnt "a ka sa ta na" to the present
We were too young, just too young

Lyrics up...pardon the translation if some parts sound strange...not the song's fault but mine :P
I didn't get to play it in class today :( But I'm putting it up here as dedication to Yijing...
Hmmmzzz...this song would make a good graduation song too, don't u agree?

If anyone from my class is reading this rite now...I really really really hope to play Pika**nchi Double for Yijing's farewell!!Why? cuz...
1. The lyrics are really meaningful and relevant...not that most ppl in the class would understand them but I've got a copy of the translation if anyone's interested..*hides*
2. Even if u dun understand the lyrics, the tune's nice...
3. Pika**nchi Double (the movie) will be opening In March at the time Yijing will be in Japan...so there'd be promotion of the movie, and she'll probably hear the song everywhere...if we play it not and she remembers the tune, everywhere she goes in Japan, the moment she hears the song she'll think of US!!!! Mwahahahahaha

nuf said....will update again later

Ur grammar...sounds like u cut and pasted frm some dictionary...*sweatdrops* u need to know ur grammar well first...I'm still learning!

My angel...isn't really a nice person? It's ok if she shows my letters to a friend...as long as she wasn't making snide remarks or anything :P. But u're right, maybe i shouldn't tell her too much :D

Maybe I seem hostile cuz i get lost in thought quite often and so sometimes dun notice when ppl smile at me...unless u come up and wave in my face or something LOLx...also, some time ago, some ppl told me I look crazy smiling all the time...so I stopped...i like to laugh, really...but i that's one part of sec 2 i still can't get over--ppl telling me I shouldn't smile...ppl telling me my laugh sounds horrible...it hurts. Ppl nowadays can be so insensitive:( Thanks for telling me anyway, -, whoever u are :D *big, bright, *unfake* grin*(juz dun throw up :D)

It's strange, I'm not shy or nervous when i talk in front of my whole class, or with the teachers, or with my close friends, but when it comes to ppl whom i'm not really close too, as well as ppl who possibily dislike me cuz they have...connections to my Sec 2 classmates, I...dun really know how to talk to them...cuz i know they mighht have an existing bias...sometimes, i dunno if I can trust certain ppl...cuz I did trust a lot more than once, and more than once those ppl turned on me and betrayed my trust...as Gwen said, yeah, I can't stand hypocritical ppl. Yet, i have to live with them...I think they were put on this earth juz to make the world more interesting. It's fun to see how ugly they look when they contradict themselves terribly...u may be pretty physically, but when ppl see the ugliness inside, the physical beauty is nothing.

Help me trust again? :) I know there are at least 5 friends I can really and truly trust...but then again, frankly I did trust Maybelline until someone kindly told me she was talking behind my back last year. I'm cool to her now...I'm not as stupid as to let her think I'm such a fool that I don't know what she's doing.

Gwen *chuuux*! U really cheered me up juz now!!! U siad i din update--here's a super long entry LOLz...real to ur heart's desire!!

I asked mrs gurung abt taking Japanese for O levels, she said she'd help me find out if I'm allowed to do so....hope she doesn't forget--wish me good luck!!

December...i really don't think u should take Japanese for O levels...not this yr...u may be able to read some hiragana and katakana...but frankly, u need a lot more work...'O' levels is nothing to play with!!! Even if u dun have to use it in ur L1R5 it's still a grade...u'd be cramming 4 yrs worth of knowledge into 8 months and less--is it worth it? At the expense of ur other subjects? I've flipped through the 3rd lang textbk the ppl in our level is using--even I have to learn new vocab...they're not gonna give u all kanji there, if u dun learn the proper pronunciation u won't do well...hell, i wrote a simple note in very simple words, in hiragana, yet u said u didn't understand!! There's only so much ur friend and i can help u, even if u work very hard, learning a language takes time, and 8 months is too short...and dun forget the orals are earlier.

Making out what a singer sings in a song and real dialogue are extremely different...it's easy to figure out song lyrics cuz it's usually slower and clearer, but when they speak...anyone can catch simple phrases like "Gomennasai" or "daijoubu" etc etc...listening compre for 3rd land is not going to be just phrases. brace urself. Dun waste ur time if u dun intend to do well, and take up japanese for "o' levels juz to play around with it. Frankly, I really hate this kind of attitude. If u want a test in Japanese, Kinokuniya sells many JLPT test papers...u can try them out. 'O' levels shouldn't be messed with. Or, if u really want to do O levels, take a year or 2 more, and speak to ur principal in JC...u can take O levels when u're in JC...or go as a private candidate when u're older.

wakatta?

I like songs in languages I don't understand!! Somehow, it makes me concentrate on the tunes and melody and the beat...
I mean, some English singers nowadays...u dunna what on earth they're singing anyway, so mite as well listen to something in another language rite?

Looked at the lyrics sheets. Was curious abt how those 'symbols' were read. Listened hard. Learnt to recognise a few characters. Borrowed a few bks frm the library and~ voila! New Jpop fan! That was in P6...

Hey! Feel free to try out the tag board :D More convenient than going to the guestbk if u want a reply frm me...:D

Song of the moment: NEWS--NEWS Nippon!! I really hope to share it with the class someday, and I think I'll stream it on this blog too :D It's really inspiring, makes u really want to go out, follow your dreams and just do your best in everything!
Will put up lyrics and translation when I have time :D

I emailed my angel...crapped and moaned a lot abt what I've been moaning about for the whole week--wanting to share songs with the class yet at the same time feeling bad abt forcing ppl to listen to my songs so often...

And I still have a lot of songs I wanna share. I guess i won't be satisfied until I turn at least 1/2 the class into Jpop fans...or at least Arashi/News/Johnny's fans...ok, maybe 1/4 of the class who are not alr jpop fans?

I think I can count the number of Jpop fans in the class on one hand.

I see everyone else bopping and singing along to the English songs that are played furing Maths--Britney Spears, Westlife, etc etc. Everyone knows those songs, that's why. But when I play my Jpop...I guess only a few ppl (me, Gwen, maybe Wenhan) know the songs, it's unfamiliar to the rest so they don't even move to the music, and it's too much to expect them to sing along when they don't even know the song!!

I guess my greatest wish is for someone...someone in class other than Gwen...someone in the English songs crowd to actually say that a certain Jpop song of mine was really nice, what's the group's name/can play some more song? I want ppl...not just one other person--to actually say "Play on! I wanna hear the rest of the CD!" etc etc...but it's a bit too much to ask for isn't it? I can't expect everyone to like the songs that I like. I don't like the songs most of the ppl in my class like either. I'm ok with westlife and all, but I don't really like Britney's latest songs. I'm probably biased against her, but I don't like Britney now :P She's just too hypocritical for my liking. :P And I feel that the quality of her music is deteriorating. She was so much better in her "Baby One More Time" days

English music keeps deteriorating in my opinion. You get 'singers' who sell albums mainly through their looks, or the clothes they are *NOT* wearing :P Britney and Christina seem to be competing to see who sheds all her clothes the fastest. I can't stand it...

Maybe I haven't heard enough English singers. I haven't been keeping up with the English music scene after all. If I actually *know* and English song you can bet it's at least 3 years old. Besides one brief craze over the Spice Girls when I was in Pr 3 and dabbling in boybands when I was arnd P4, I didn't really like the current English pop music much. When i went totally crazy over an English music group, it was the 1970s grp Abba, which i still like pretty much now :) I like English oldies better than the current English songs.

Don't get me wrong. Some current English songs are quite good :D I like music with a strong beat, eg rock. But when the lyrics are totally ridiculous/don't make sense...:P :P:P I can't really tolerate vulgarities either. i keep thinking, all the vulgarities ppl in the Western media spout in public are why so many of the ppl arnd me, influenced by those very same personalities and music, spout vulgar words as if there was nothing wrong with it. It really hurts the ears, and it doesn't give ppl a good impression. You think it makes you sound tough? Well, to be really frank and blunt, the ppl who keep saying vularities give me the impression that they weren't well brought up, and that they don't respect other people or themselves. They know VERY well what words like the f-word mean, and they still think it's fun and cool to use it.

A guy who keeps saying vulgar words wouldn't give me a very good impression either. It's plain rude.

Young ppl nowadays are generally plain rude, insensitive, inconsiderate and not tactful enough. They say what they like without thinking abt how others would feel. After all, it's the other party, not them, who would feel the hurt. And the other party doesn't concern them! :P

I think sometimes I can be untactful too. Resolution: Think much, much more before i say anything.

True Song

My Life
