Amearashi...It's thanks to the RainStorm that I found myself again.
Konbanwa minna! Hisashiburi ne? Lolx...I haven't been online for weeks!! Feel so guilty...
watever the case I'm gonna go down and sign our congratulations card to Arashi on Jun 11!! whee!! I miss the other members on the forum...Iro babestas, u rock!
(I never guessed my idea would really become such a big thing :) I hope Arashi is really, really touched by this compilation of congratulatory messages frm fans all over the world! It's their 5th yr after all--nice milestone :D)
I'm sorry, I know I keep saying that I'm gonna change the background sound to NEWS Nippon but rite now I'm (again) too lazy to compress the file and upload it etc etc...
Finally got my How's It Going Concert vcd! Haven't watched it yet...think I'm gonna bring it to school on thursday and invite 1 or 2 ppl to watch it in the library during recess--Gwen, are u interested? :D It's a little crazy but yeah Lolx...my birthday treat:D
And Arashi's releasing a new album on 7 July!!! album name to be announced, but I'm definitely gonna get hold of the ltd ed...*starts saving* think I'll need around $70-80? Julia frm Iro offered to help us SG peeps order online, but I don't have the $ right now and even if I did it'd have to be in cash...guess I'll just order it at HMV as usual...gotta get the deposit ready.
It seems that I'm perpetually saving for something Arashi aren't I? And I stuill haven't gotten the normal version of Pika**nchi Double yet...(cries) i dun wanna miss the secret talk...~~~
Went to the night safari with uncle, aunt, Elvin and (surprise!) his lovely girlfriend Catherine on Saturday night. Didn't expect her to be here, cuz she's working in NY :) I think she's really nice--they're meant for each other, and counting back, I just realised they've been together for more than 4 years! Think it'll last :)
*Evon's being mischievous again* lolx Aunt Jenny asked Elvin whether he and Cat had any plans after the night safari, where they were going etc, Elvin said, "It's a secret", and I, unable to resist this chance to tease him YET again, asked, "Which hotel?" (promptly covering my face XD)...everyone laughed and Cat ruffled my hair...actually they were going clubbing, but Elvin's secrecy made everything so...u know...suspicious...XD
I love my cousin! Love all my cousins! :D I just realised that I'm closer to them than many other ppl are with their own cousins...XD ~feels blissful~ I've always looked up to Elvin-kor (just like I look up to Sho...only difference is that I have a crush on Sho and I do NOT have a crush on my older cousin, thank you) ...I think that when I have a boyfriend in the future, I'd choose someone who's as mature, understanding, respectful, humourous and stable as Sho and Elvin...actually, I'd like the guy to be a little more conservative on ideals of love and sex....I want someone who has the same ideals and values as I do. No, none of those guys who take sex
that lightly for me.

:) I don't know if you're reading this but thanks, Amelia, for what you wrote in my guestbook :)
Suddenly not very confident about 200m...I was so tired on Sunday...so tired...even at 100m...and I was so far behind the rest....no matter how much faster I tried to swim I couldn't seem to move...why is it that I'm so far ahead of them in backstroke, yet so far behind them in other strokes? One look and my coach knew I wasn't a breaststroker :P
I think I sound a lot like Shimatani Hitomi in Amairo no Kami no otome...Gwen said my voice was 'sultry'...actually I like the way she sings, and the way the lead singer of Globe sings too... just thinking that with voice training perhaps I could sing like them too...but I admit, that kind of singing takes some getting used to for some ppl.
Since i was little I've never sung with my speaking voice. I've always sung with a singing voice lolx...
~Remembers an episode of Music Station long ago...a singer who had a rather squeaky speaking voice came on the show, and the hosts asked if that was her normal voice. It was, but when she sang...wow!! You wouldn't believe her speaking voice was squeaky at all!!
Then when I was in the choir ir pr sch...my voice wasn't powerful enough to sing solo, but I remember that Mrs Ng often praised me *hides* especially in P6 when we were singing songs from The Sound of Music. That same year I got to sing descant (super, super high soprano part) in a song...a bit of a strain but I was surprised I actually managed to hit the notes without slipping!!
I've always loved Karaoke...didn't sing karaoke for quite a few years until I went to Japan...(wish I could have sung more!)
There are some people who tell me I sing horribly, but actually I don't take that to heart any longer because the people who said I sing well far outnumber those who say I don't. It's just that sometimes I choose songs that don't reallyu suit my voice and it doesn't sound so good. (but I still like singing songs by male artistes....:(
Why is it that people don't like certain Japanese songs, but when you take the tune of the song and make a Chinese versiion of it, they love it? E.g Hirai ken's Gaining through Losing--> F4's Liu Xing Yu and Cyndi Wang's song which used the melody of Amairo no Kami no Otome...Moral goes that if you just listened to the tune of the song you'd like it. Music is about the melody after all, lyrics and words just play counterpart.
It's not as if i understood Japanese songs when I first got into them after all!

No, my friend December is NOT gay...it's just that he's sworn off love and taken the vow of celibacy.
Well, (December, mind me saying this?) I know that people tease him and tell him what they think of him straight to his face because they do so in tuition class, and when we were classmates in primary school.
Suddenly thought of Nicholas (no, don't get any ideas, he and I are still JUST friends)...remember when I sort of disliked him in Pr 5, and circulated this newsletter making fun of him, just like the 'Aloypig' newsletters in P4 against Aloysius...instead of being really mad about it and taking it to heart, he actually joined in the fun and laughed with us. From then, my opinion of him changed and we became great friends.
I like people who learn to laugh at their faults and others' insults of them...impressed by it :) Because it shows they're comfortable with themselves. Will I ever learn to be like them?
Is it my imagination or are a few ppl actually talking more to me than they used to? :)
Thanks for ur letter Maybelline :)
Listening to Shimatani Hitomi's "Amairo no kami no Otome'...you know Cyndi Wang's new album? One of the songs from it uses the melody of this song. It's quite old in pop music terms, being nearly 3 years old...remembered the tune clearly, having heard it a few times on MSte (Music Station) and on Kohaku 2002. It's really nice~I didn't even know the title or the singer so I had to search for part of the lyrics...and phew...got the title and singer's name as well.
Have to do 200m after all...100m had 4 ppl swimming there, a bit crowded so I decided to go back to 200m...would have been ok if Michelle din suddenly decide to take 100m as well...but I think now she decided to stick with 50 fly (?) and so only 2 ppl are in 100...but since I've decided to take mid distance might as well train hard for it and do my best, right? It's something new :D 2 months to train on 200! Need to work on the 8 pulls 1 breath thing and tumble turns...daresay my tumble turn is ok but need more work on measuring the distance correctly more often.
Today's NAPFA test...did badly in the usual stations...:P Realised that I make the same mistake doing standing broad jump that I often make doing grip start in swimming...thought about asking Mrs Koh if I could start for standing broad jump using track start instead (LOL, like real)...but then decided against it...1stly cuz it probably isn't allowed and 2ndly cuz if I really concentrated to much on pretending it was a swimming start I might just land oh my hands or my head instead of my feet :P Maybe even do a cartwheel :P :P

Firstly, I'd like to say that how I seem to react towards sex in class does NOT reflect my real ideals. ASk me about it. I don't mind having a real discussion :P And then we'll see if I really am as immature as you think about it.
Well...the other day, I was just seriously reflecting on why I giggled when sex was mentioned during lessons? Pretty stupid, but I realised that it was because I expected others to laugh along as well. And I wanted to be part. yeah right, and I ended up being the only one laughing. So I stopped myself.
I wouldn't say my attitude toward sex is immature...just more conservative than that of most ppl nowadays. Yes, I'm proud to say that my ideal is to remain a virgin until marriage. So? Because it's the most precious thing you can give to the one you love enough to spend the rest of your life with. I'm not all against pre-marital sex, but no-sex-until-marriage is the ideal. Love is so much more than just sex after all. I'd hate it if a relationship became a purely sexual one, with no real passion or emotions after all. When one truely loves someone else, even if he/she wasn't physically there with you, your feelings for him/her would still be just as strong. The most mature relations are ones where couples are self-assured with each other, and don't have to keep groping each other all over the place or necking in public.
What I really dislike is prominiscuity. Why be so cheap? Sure, it's for pleasure, and the ppl who do it may not care what diseases they get. But I just don't see the point. Those girls who hop into bed with just anyone...one night stands...is that what you call mature? Because I don't think only those who have one night stands, and/or are promiscuous, are particularly mature about sex either, if that's what you think defines maturity.
What does being an adult mean? To me, it means taking responsibility, being stable and firm in one's thoughts, beliefs and actions, mature-minded, confident of oneself, being able to tell between right and wrong, not being influenced too easily, respecting others and knowing how to behave and what to say at the right time.
I won't dare say I'm completely mature yet...at 16, how mature can one be? Most of us still live at home, with our parents, and don't have to fend for ourselves yet. We're still in school, haven't experienced the stress, pressure and hardship of work life. Is it right to say then that we're truely mature?
I know I'm not terribly ugly. But I know I'm not very beautiful or anything either. Nothing you say bothers me, because I'm comfortable with my own looks.
I sing for myself. And I like singing songs in a language ppl can't understand. So? I don't care if no one listens to my singing. As I'm not singing for others, why should they care if they understand what I'm singing?
But right now I'm trying to hum the tune instead.
Kz, dun have to do 200 free...100 instead...oh well...
coffee: what makes you think YOU will survive in this world as well?
Oh, the arrogance in my guestbook! Stephanie, you have to live with the fact that not everyone in Singapore is perfectly fluent in English. Good grades do not maketh a good person.
Has it ever occured to you that Chinese proverbs and sayings came about due to the originator's experiences and wisdom? Don't just dismiss them like this. Yes, they're words, but they're words that make sense and can apply in life. Don't look down on Chinese.
I know Snowy Angel personally. And yes, those who diss him do it to his face. With no swear words, and in a constructive manner.
Stephanie, I think you should grow up as well. All your comments and everything just show immaturity. Why let what i said about you bring out your ugly side? With all the swearing and all. If you were more mature you'd defend yourself while still upholding your dignity.

I removed my guestbook link. If you have anything to say you can well say it on the tagboard, even if it means multiple posts.
Wish I could lock up some posts on blogspot...but since I can't...well...time to be careful. Now only the ppl I really trust can read my deepest thoughts and rants. For I'm sure
they at least will understand...:)
I hated to remove the guestbook link, but had to...ppl who want to communicate with me still can do so through the tagboard...if you're from the Iro forum you'd know my email address too :)
Training today was fun!! There are more coaches around on Sunday, almost 1 coach to each lane, so that means the coach can pay more attention to us and correct our strokes!!!
Auntie Mary said my freestyle is OK, juz need to move a bit faster...tried the 6 pulls one breath thing and instead went like, 6666646226462 :P Slowed down cuz I was concentrating more on getting my breathing correct than on speed...
My main stroke is BACKSTROKE!!! Not freestyle!!!!
But since I agreed to do 200m free, might as well train hard for it rite? Then after the Nats...can stop!
I was NEVER cut out to be a swimmer.
Not a competitive one anyway.
You know, even the prettiest models and actresses nowadays were not necessarily pretty in their teens/childhood...
Was surfing blogs, and came across Kiat Teng's. Apparently, her brother's from NJC where Miss Singapore-Universe 2002 Bernice Wong studied...to quote what her brother said, back then if anyone were to say she was Miss Singapore-Universe, they'd laugh their heads off. But look at Bernice Wong now! I think she's really lovely.
I saw a picture of Jeanette Aw in secondary school, and wouldn't have recognised her had it not been for the caption. She wasn't that pretty either, but now she's beautiful too, with good acting skills to boot (though she's got to work on the way she talks)
It shows that with the right stylist, makeup and lighting, anyone can be beautiful.
My mum was just telling us about a customer of one of her clients Fluv (a flower shop). This bride-to-be wanted Fluv to provide the flowers for her upcoming wedding, but was rather 'easy-going" abbout it, telling the main flower arranger that she didn't mind what flowers he chose, as long as they were cream-coloured.
The main flower arranger, Justin, told my mum that many brides who come in to order bouquets for their weddings are fussy and picky about the flowers they want, and in the end, the flowers don't turn out well as either the flowers they want aren't in season, or their many demands put a lot of pressure on the arranger. But if the bride wasn't as fussy, somehow the bouquets would always end up looking beautiful after he was done with the arrangement.
They used peonies for the bride who wanted the cream flowers...peonies, the arranger said, are usually hard to handle and sometimes it doesn't turn out well. But the end product turned out to be amazingly lovely--as lovely as the bride herself, my mum said (she saw this bride-to-be when she came in to collect her flowers). And the cream-coloured peonies are really pretty too--I know because Fluv let my mum bring the leftovers home :)
Beauty is no only skin deep, but should shine and radiate from a person's heart and personality as well. If you're ugly inside, no matter how beautiful you are on the outside, there will always be something missing.
If someone were only externally beauty, the more you get to know her, and see how dark and evil her heart is, the uglier she will start to look in your eyes.
But if someone were ugly physically, yet has a good heart and mind, this internal beauty will start to outshine her physical flaws as you get to know her better.
I'm just tired...tired of all these...tired of trying to defend myself. What's wrong with voicing out your thoughts? It's a fact that different people think differently. No matter how much you dislike or disagree with someone else's opinion, you still have to accept that there is another standpoint to the issue. ..what doesn't make sense to you makes sense to others.
I'd consider and accept other views and opinions if they make sense...but if someone else saw something a different way, I wouldn't dismiss it completely...usually I try to see it from another person's point of view...but it is hard, because people are so different; you never know what others think.
No, Stephanie, I don't kiss my pencil, and I make sure i don't pick my nose in public. Remember that everyone has their own disgusting habits. I try to keep mine in check. Don't forget, you sing in class too. Louder than me, such that even the ppl at the back of the class can hear it, and told u to shut up. I won't say you have a very good voice as well...
Enough of that.

You are Tweety.
You are cute, and everyone loves you. You are a best friend that
no one takes the chance of losing. You never hurt feelings and
seldom have your own feelings hurt. Life is a breeze. You are
witty, and calm most of the time. Just keep clear of back stabbers,
and you are worry-free.

um...apart from the 1st and 3rd sentence (which are untrue) and the 2nd sentence which is kinda uncertain...ok...

You have selected mango.
A mango lover is a personality to be reckoned with; quite often you are a person who has quite fixed ideas, and influencing you is no easy task. You tend to be an extremist with strong likes and dislikes; and at times even like to control a situation. You enjoy getting involved in something that presents mental challenge. Strong as you may be, you are like a kitten when you are with your partner. You accommodate the love of your life, and make up for all the strong will elsewhere!
Quite true...Gwen, u did say I'm an 'intense' person...and I do admit I have very strong feelings about stuff.

1. The road represents your attitude towards falling in love.
You chose the short road--you fall in love quickly and easily.
2. The number of red roses represents how much you give in a
relationship, while the number of white represents what you
expect in return.
You give 50% and expect 50% in return.

You like to get the person yourself--you are a more direct

a long time.
That's all folks. Best wishes to those who are in love.

Stop the expletives. I can't stand it.
But thanks anyway, Snowy Angel and Gwen.
Stephanie, we're not hurling expletives at each other. You are, and you're the one who started it. Notice that what I write on this blog is expletive free?
And GWEN IS NOT A DOG!! :P Good riddance, 'Alvin', Stephanie and Adeline...she's as human anyone else!! (Sort of like a reasoning test: If she is a dog, you're a dog as well...and so is every single human on the planet...technically, if u twist stuff a bit, it kinda makes sense. Reality or not notwithstanding LOL)
Sorry, Alvin, whoever you are, I don't know you. Only one boy who knows BOTH Gwen and I personally knows this blog address. Thus, you have no right to say you know us.
Surprise of surprises!! Jingfang joined my A Maths tuition class!! I was handing in my cheque at the counter yesterday when someone called out my name...I was startled, turned around and saw Jingfang there! LOL...she told me she just joined our A Maths tuition class, and was glad that she had someone she knew there. What a coincidence! :D I'm glad too, that there's someone else I know :)
Did another practice test...oh man, my mind's so rusty about sec 3 topics...better start revising all sec 3 topics
Was shocked to learn that someone apparently mistreated her hamsters...at least when she was in sec 1...it's cruel and morbid...but I digress.
Last statement-- Singapore kids nowadays don't get caned/spanked enough. And that contributes to the growing lack of discipline.
